We’re nearly a week into this year’s wellness challenge. Starting a wellness activity can be difficult, but I would say maintaining a wellness activity is more difficult. Why? The initial excitement and enthusiasm fades, and we may be confronted with the realities of inconvenience, disrupted routines and in some cases a bit of physical discomfort.
To risk a cliché, if it were easy, everyone would be doing it – living a wellness lifestyle. Don’t be surprised by the inconveniences but embrace them as a sign that you are making changes. And don’t give up after a few days. Hold fast. At the end of a month, you’ll look back and realize what you’ve accomplished. You’ve improved your wellness!
